Wardrobe & Closet Sensor Lighting — for furniture makers and lighting distributors

Start with the furniture layout and the lighting behaviour you need: movement, a hand gesture or door position. A PIR light responds to movement and its timer; door-open/door-close control needs a matching control configuration. The TUODI platforms below cover standard wardrobes, serviced furniture, drawers and walk-in closets.

Design criteria that matter

  • Sensing: PIR is often the starting point inside a wardrobe because a closed door normally blocks its field of view. Radar can sense through some panels, so check the material, sensor position and intended behaviour on the sample. (Compare the options →) For separate cabinet touch, door and proximity controls, see the low-voltage cabinet-control list.
  • Power: rechargeable battery with magnetic mounting — no wiring lets furniture ship flat-pack and retrofit into existing pieces. Runtime depends on capacity, brightness, trigger frequency and hold time; use the planning calculator and agree the sample assumptions before production.
  • Light quality: selectable colour temperature (warm for bedrooms, neutral/cool for dressing areas), even diffusion so clothes show true colours without stripes.
  • Servicing: either the bar lifts off its magnets for USB charging, or — on the Detachable-Battery Sensor Light (TDL-6111) — a detachable battery card can be charged while the bar stays on the rail.
  • Daylight sensor: keeps the light off when the room is already bright, stretching battery life.

Recommended TUODI platforms

Standard wardrobesRechargeable PIR Cabinet Light (TDL-6110X) — PIR >3 m / 120°, tri-CCT, slim aluminium housing, magnet + adhesive-plate install; hold time 15–18 s depending on the sheet, so check it on the sample. Five factory lengths (12 / 23 / 30 / 40 / 60 cm); common selections: 23 cm 1.4 W / 110 lm / 74 LEDs / 1500 mAh · 30 cm 0.6–3 W / 50–180 lm / 102 LEDs / 2200 mAh · 40 cm 3 W / 220 lm / 140 LEDs / 3000 mAh · 60 cm 3.2 W / 280 lm / 216 LEDs / 4400 mAh
Rental / serviced furnitureDetachable-Battery Sensor Light (TDL-6111) — charge the detachable card while the bar stays installed.

Small drawers & shoe cabinetsBig-Battery Sensor Light (TDL-6108A) — 380 mm, 4000 mAh big-battery format (2026 spec), charge occasionally not routinely
Budget lineAAA-Battery Sensor Light Bar (TDL-7120) — 4×AAA batteries, magnetic strip, daylight sensor
Walk-in closetsSpliceable Remote-Control Cabinet Light (TDL-6110XRF-DJ) — 25 cm spliceable bars, PIR placement guide 3 m/90° (check on a sample), 1.4 W, 120 lm, 1500 mAh, 2800–5500 K, 30 s hold; ships as one bar plus one remote. The factory recommends six or fewer bars per remote for best results.
Remote (sold separately)Magnetic Wall Remote (TDL-2041-DJ) — magnetic wall remote, 15 m range, also senses at 3 m, 130 × 40 mm. Takes 2 × AAA, not included in the carton — include the battery requirement in your order

Lumen and wattage figures are per length from the factory's 2026 quotation. If you are comparing bars across suppliers, compare at the same length — a 60 cm bar quoting 280 lm and a 23 cm bar quoting 110 lm are within a few per cent of each other per centimetre lit.

Your furniture integration record

Use one record for each selected configuration and furniture position. This is a blank planning record, not a performed installation or clearance measurement.

Selected referenceChoose a published configuration and revision; record the sensing pack, connector and colour settings still to confirm.
Furniture and layoutRecord the position, internal dimensions, door movement, mounting surface and intended user approach.
Service actionRecord whether the battery card or the whole bar is removed for charging, with the installed bar and mounting parts identified.
Clearance and mounting approvalNot measured. Record actual service clearance on the identified sample, adhesive preparation, fixing position and who accepts the result.
Open quotation checksCarry every unanswered configuration question forward, including runtime conditions, replacement supply and document applicability.

Prepare the installation enquiry with quantity, destination and the intended service action.

Wardrobe lighting integration checklist

Use this checklist with your furniture drawing and the selected model’s buyer summary. Agree mounting and service access on a physical sample before setting a production cut-out, fixing pattern or charging clearance.

  1. Define the furniture: record the cabinet’s internal width and depth, door travel, shelf or rail position, finish and proposed light location. Mark nearby handles, metalwork and moving parts.
  2. Choose the control: describe the wanted trigger and shut-off behaviour. Check the PIR field with the door closed and open, or test hand-wave reach at the chosen position. Agree the exact timer on the sample.
  3. Reserve service access: check room to remove and refit the magnetic bar or battery card, grip it safely and connect the charging cable. Record the measured clearance and connector location from the approved sample.
  4. Prove the mounting: test the supplied mounting parts on the actual furniture finish. Agree surface preparation, adhesive or mechanical fixing, installation instructions and the inspection method with the factory.
  5. Approve the complete set: record model, length, sensing pack, colour setting, battery, mounting parts, cable, remote where applicable, artwork and packing. Keep a dated sample and the agreed drawing revision.

Notes

Confirm the power, mounting and sensing behaviour on your sample. For TDL-6110XRF-DJ, confirm the grouping, placement and pairing on a sample in the intended layout.

35 cm: Battery capacity to be confirmed on your quotation.
