What drives the price of a sensor light

Start with a matched quotation: published ranges cover different lengths, batteries, controls, included parts and order quantities. They do not isolate the price effect of one feature. Compare the same configuration, quantity and commercial basis before attributing a difference to length, battery or sensing type. Every range below is indicative and tiered by quantity. Prices include delivery within China; international freight is quoted separately.

Why not buy only on the lowest unit price? The factory's own testing found a much lower defect rate for the Microwave Ceiling Switch (TDL-1915) and Rechargeable PIR Cabinet Light (TDL-6110X) than for the generic samples it compared them with. The figures, their limits and the pictures are on the quality comparison page.

Five comparisons to make before choosing a quotation

Lever What to compare Why
Length Length and its associated configuration The Rechargeable PIR Cabinet Light (TDL-6110X) family runs US$4.91–13.05 per unit for 100–500 units for the 12, 23 and 60 cm builds only; the 30 / 40 cm revisions are quoted on request. The listed lengths also use different LED and battery configurations — 300 mAh at the short end, 4400 mAh at the long end.
Battery format Whether cells are included A dry-cell model carries no cell in the box. The AAA-Battery Sensor Light Bar (TDL-7120) runs on 4 × AAA, with price on request; the Big-Battery Sensor Light (TDL-6108A) with a built-in 4000 mAh pack is US$9.14 per unit, minimum 1,000 units. These are different products; the price gap is not a measured battery-format saving.
Sensing type Match length, battery and control Within the same 6110 bar family: PIR US$4.91–13.05, hand-wave IR US$4.91–13.05, microwave radar US$7.94–13.57 per unit, each for 100–500 units. The priced IR lengths are 12, 23, 40 and 60 cm. The priced PIR lengths are 12, 23 and 60 cm; PIR 30 / 40 cm is on request. Compare the entry configurations before attributing the difference to radar: the radar family’s entry size is a 24 cm bar with a 1500 mAh cell, while the PIR family starts at 12 cm and 300 mAh. The floors are not the same product, so the gap between them is not a sensor premium. Choose the sensor on how it will behave in the installation, not on price.
What else is in the box Included devices and mounting parts A remote control is a second device with its own board, housing and cell. The Spliceable Remote-Control Cabinet Light (TDL-6110XRF-DJ) is quotation-only; specify the number of bars and remotes required; the Wireless Picture & Display Light (TDL-7134) is US$8.87 per unit for 100–500 units. Confirm which charging and mounting parts are included; separate spare-card availability needs its own answer.
Order size and customisation level Sets which tier you are quoted on Each price states its quantity basis: 100–500 units or a minimum of 1,000 units, depending on the model. There are four MOQ levels, not one — samples of stock models, stock product, logo and packaging, and full custom development — and each has its own minimum. Printing minimums, not production, usually set the logo-and-packaging one.

Compare functions on matching configurations

The MC550 nursery series includes clock, white-noise and colour variants in one 97 × 86 × 110 mm housing and one carton format, with published ranges of US$8.77–12.12 per unit for 100–500 units. The white-noise MC550BL is US$12.12, the MC550TIME clock is US$9.40 and the MC550RF colour lamp is US$8.77. Those ranges do not show the cost effect of a feature or platform on its own. If you are weighing two feature sets, ask for quotations on the same configuration, quantity and commercial basis before comparing them.

What sits outside the unit price

  • Freight. The figures in this guide cover the product price, including delivery within China. International freight and duty are quoted separately as a landed door-to-door price once we know the destination and the volume.
  • Certification for your market. Where a model already holds a document we will say so and name it on the certifications page. Where it does not, testing for your market is a separate line — and worth agreeing before tooling, not after.
  • Tooling. Logo printing, laser engraving, colourways, giftbox and blister packaging and multi-language manuals are standard customisation. A new housing is not — that is an ODM project with its own mould cost.
  • The sample. Samples are quoted as one combined goods-and-shipping amount. A sample-fee credit may be agreed for a subsequent large order; where it is, the quotation states the eligible costs, credit amount and qualifying order.

Quotation and payment currencies. We can quote and accept payment in USD, EUR, GBP and SGD. Other currencies may be arranged; tell us your preference when requesting a quotation.

How to get a number that will hold

  • Give the length and the quantity together. Either one alone cannot be priced on a bar.
  • Say which battery format you need — dry cell, built-in rechargeable, or a removable card. Include it with the length, controls, included parts, quantity and commercial basis so the quotations compare the same configuration.
  • Describe the installation alongside the sensor preference. Mounting position, surface and market tell us more than a sensing type does, and help us judge whether the proposed sensing method fits the application.
  • Ask what the quote is valid until. Cell, copper and controller prices move. A range on a website is a starting point; a dated quotation is the thing you order against.
Send the model and your target quantity and you will get a number for your tier rather than a range. If you are still choosing between formats, describe the application and we will price two options side by side. Ask on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask about sensor-light pricing

Why does TUODI's sensor light bar price vary so much by length?
Rarely just length. On the Rechargeable PIR Cabinet Light (TDL-6110X) family, the five published lengths run from 12 to 60 cm, and both LED count and battery capacity scale with the bar: a 300 mAh cell on the 12 cm bar, 4400 mAh on the 60 cm. A shorter bar is not the same product at a lower price. Confirm the LED count for your length, and compare quotations on matching configurations and quantities.
Can TUODI make a sensor light bar in a custom length that's not on your standard size chart?
Yes. A length outside the published sizes is quoted as a custom tooling job, cut from an existing aluminium profile on the factory's own cutting equipment, with its own minimum order. One worked example: a 50 cm TDL-6110X bar from the 60 cm profile, offered at 250 or 300 lm with a 3000 or 4500 mAh pack, and planning figures of 5-7 days for a sample and 25-30 days for production. Documents for a listed length do not automatically cover a custom build. Before ordering for the EU, ask us to check how the manufacturer's conformity assessment, technical documentation and EU declaration of conformity cover the exact build; ask for your own length's figures in writing.
Is a rechargeable sensor light more expensive than a battery version just because of the battery?
Not exactly. The dry-cell AAA-Battery Sensor Light Bar (TDL-7120, 4 x AAA) and the rechargeable Big-Battery Sensor Light (TDL-6108A), with its built-in 4000 mAh pack, are two different products, not one design offered two ways, so the distance between their published ranges does not measure what a rechargeable cell adds. If you are still choosing, describe the application and ask for both formats priced side by side at the same quantity and commercial basis.
Does adding a remote control significantly raise the price of a sensor light?
The published ranges cannot answer that. A remote is a separate device carrying its own board, housing and cell, but the ranges on this site span different products, so they do not isolate what adding one costs. The Spliceable Remote-Control Cabinet Light (TDL-6110XRF-DJ) pairs PIR sensing with a 2.4 GHz remote. Ask for the same bar quoted with and without the remote, and confirm which charging and mounting parts each quotation includes.
Does your quoted unit price include shipping, certification testing and tooling, or are those extra?
None of them are in the unit price, apart from delivery within China. Published figures cover the product price with delivery within China; international freight and duty are quoted separately as a landed price once the destination and volume are known. Where a model does not already hold the document your market needs, testing for that market is a separate line. Logo, packaging and colourways are standard customisation, but a new housing is an ODM project with its own mould cost. Ask for each line in the quotation.
