Countdown Timer Switches
86-type wall plates that run a load for a set time and then stop: set-and-forget shutoff for EV and e-bike charging bays, laundry rooms, stairwell lighting and bathroom fans. Property managers buy these to stop "left it on all night" energy waste and to cap unattended charging time. These are timers, not protection devices — they end the charging window, and no fire-safety claim is made for them.

TDL-2116 Three-Step Countdown Timer
One button, three time steps, relay-switched. Tap within five seconds of starting to cycle the time selection; long-press until the indicators go out to cancel. Ordered with one of three factory timing options to suit the application.
| Operating voltage | 100–265 V AC |
|---|---|
| Load | 16 A relay (factory sheet) |
| Timing ladders (choose at order) | 15/30/60 min · 30/60/120 min · 2/4/6 h |
| Working temperature | −20 °C to +50 °C |
| Size / terminals | 86 × 86 × 29 mm · L-IN / L-OUT / N |

TDL-2115 16-Step DIP-Selectable Timer
For installers who want the run time fixed at commissioning: a DIP bank on the rear fixes the duration, so users can start it but not change it. A locator lamp glows when the load is off, so the switch is findable in a dark stairwell.
| Rated voltage | 240 V AC |
|---|---|
| Relay | 16 A high-power relay control |
| Maximum load | 3500 W (factory manual) |
| Time selection | DIP-set; ask for the current timing table (see note) |
| Working temperature | −10 °C to +50 °C |
| Dimensions | 86 × 86 × 30 mm |
| Marking | Moulded 240 V AC, 16 AMP MAX |
| Indicator | Locator light: on when load is off |
The factory manual and the rear moulding both rate this switch at 240 V AC. The manual shows two timing ranges (2 min–2 h in the rating table, 8–480 min on the DIP diagram). Ask for the current timing table with your quotation before you specify the switch.

TDL-2115 is offered for timing water heaters, extractor fans, fans, mosquito-repellent lamps and electric-vehicle charging equipment. Tell us the appliance or charger load, starting current and whether the timer switches it directly or operates an external contactor; the circuit brief below lists what to send.
TDL-2115 has internal test reports only; no certification-body certification is available. See the model-specific document status.
For water heaters and other high-load equipment, specify the circuit—not only the time
Send the circuit with the order. A two-hour timer can still fail at installation if you and the supplier mean different things by neutral, relay load or power-loss behaviour. The TDL-2116 has L-IN, L-OUT and N terminals; that does not by itself mean a switched neutral or double-pole output. Use the brief below before specifying either timer for a heater, charger, fan or other high-inrush load.
| Field | Put on the quotation and wiring review | Before installation |
|---|---|---|
| Neutral path | Whether N only powers the electronics/indicator or is actually switched; single-pole or double-pole isolation; terminal diagram and conductor sizes. | Approved wiring diagram for the exact revision and local isolation requirement—never infer “switchable neutral” from an N terminal. |
| Real load | Load type, steady current, starting/inrush current, power factor and expected switching cycles—not only the nameplate watts. | Switch the intended load or a representative test load; inspect temperature and relay behaviour over repeated cycles. |
| Contactor interface | Whether the timer switches the load directly or controls an external contactor; coil voltage/current and suppression method if one is used. | Qualified electrical review of separation, enclosure, protection and fail-safe state. |
| Timing & restart | Exact timing ladder/firmware, start-cancel logic, indicator state, and what happens after a power cut or rapid power cycling. | Time every setting on the approved sample and check the restart state after an outage. |
Notes
TDL-2115 test documents: request the internal report for the exact build and check its tested load and conditions against your project. Internal testing does not establish approval for your destination market. For North American, European and Asia-Pacific projects, confirm the destination requirements, mounting format and exact build before ordering.
Installation boundary: the circuit brief helps select and order the device; it is not an electrical design approval. Mains wiring, protective devices, contactor selection and local code compliance belong with a qualified professional in the destination market.
